Another day of torrential rain here at my place yesterday definitely meant I was destined to be indoors, so I decided it was time to explore my latest fascination with fabric baskets.  Like my rag rugs, there was a surprise element between the original fabric and the way it looked at the end of the project.  I was pleasantly surprised by my first attempt and I had this cute little basket to show for it. It's basically clothesline wrapped in fabric and then zig zagged together. So Woolies, here I come to get another 15m of clothesline to see what I can produce today.

  1. Gosh Val thats so creative! did you actually sew through the clothesline? is it the clothesline with the plastic on the outside? wow I am amazed everyday by so many talented women on these blogs and you are one of them!

  2. Fabulous Val. I've been thinking of your rains. we get the photos of aerial shots of flooded acres and I think of you.
Hope you have a stillted house.

  3. That is terrific Val... I have been wanting to have a go at making one of these for quite awhile... I did buy the clothesline... but the question is where did I put it... LOL
